Bahs. Bez vārdiem  Riga Dom’s Cathedral. Info

Bahs.Bez vārdiem

The genius of J.S. Bach has depicted in music the story of Christ, his birth, suffering and crucifixion, which we are now witnessing. Many agree that there is no other piece of music, where this story is better told than the immortal music by J.S. Bach. We think that his music is as vivid and impressive as the words woven within it. In this concert, together with the listener, we will yield to Bach’s music through Christ’s Passion and Resurrection. We will play the most expressive arias from his passions and cantatas, arranged for instrumental ensemble, as well as the organ music, excerpts from solo partitas and arias for the obligatory instrument, basso continuo, and voice, where it will be substituted by an instrument.
